RPM Engineering, a civil engineering consultancy headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, operating across South-East Asia, found itself constrained by a critical bottleneck. Exporting construction drawings from AutoCAD - up to 200 pages at a time - was a fully manual process, consuming up to one full man-day for a single project set. As the company grew, the inefficiency risked compounding, draining valuable engineering time away from higher-value work.
RPM needed a way to reimagine its workflow: faster, smarter, and scalable.

Twine partnered with RPM to assess their operational processes and technical infrastructure, with a specific focus on their data extraction and drawing management workflows. After evaluating a range of automation strategies and software solutions, we designed a custom approach tailored precisely to the firm's needs.
Leveraging AutoLISP, a specialized programming language for AutoCAD, Twine built a bespoke add-on program that enabled mass export of construction drawings directly to PDF - fully automated and seamlessly integrated into RPM’s existing systems.
The result: a completely reengineered export process, delivering consistent output at scale with minimal human input.
